Leona Sticka Kropp, 87, of Ellabell, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday afternoon, April 2. Born and raised on her parents' farm in Dickinson, ND, she moved to Long Island, NY with her loving husband, Frederick F. Kropp, Jr. They moved to Savannah, GA in 1967 with their six children, and later settled in Ellabell, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Nick Sticka, of Dickinson, ND, and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Judith Olsen of Ellabell, Diane Ed Cosenza of Richmond Hill, Sandra James of Midway, Darlene Bill Lewis of Loudon, TN, Debra Jim Anderson of Ellabell, and Denis Kropp of Ellabell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristin Olsen of NY, Keri Tom Henderson of Rincon, Jennifer Dewayne Scarborough of TX, Sonya Exley of Midway, Butch James of Midway, Michael Kelli Anderson of Savannah, and Angie Jimmy Frye of Richmond Hill, her great-grandchildren, Amanda Johnson, Kalynne Johnson, Brittany James, Jayda Rozell, Lindsay Roberts, Brandon Exley, Sophie Frye, Logan Frye, Catherine Anderson, and Kelsie Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thanks to her caregiver Heather McBrayer, for the special love and attention given during her final years.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
